School holiday dates

When choosing our school term and holiday dates, we consider published information from across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas.

During the dates listed below some of our activities for groups may not be available to book.

This includes our indoor picnic area, which cannot be booked during school holidays. During the dates below it is shared with general visitors and is available on a drop-in basis only.

Holiday dates 2024–25

Winter holiday: 21 December 2024 to 5 January 2025

February half term: 15 to 23 February 2025

Spring holiday: 5 to 21 April 2025

May half term: 24 May to 1 June 2025

Summer holiday: 19 July to 31 August 2025
