If you're visiting on a weekend, try the Metrolink weekend family travelcard. For just £9.50, this travelcard gives unlimited travel across all Metrolink zones from 18.00 on Friday evening until the last tram on Sunday night. Valid for 1–3 children (aged under 16) accompanied by 1 or 2 adults.

The nearest railway station to the museum is Deansgate, which is 10 minutes' walk away.
We are 15 minutes' walk away from Manchester Oxford Road station, 25 minutes' walk away from Manchester Victoria station, and 30 minutes' walk away from Manchester Piccadilly station.
You can travel from Manchester Piccadilly station to the museum using the free city centre bus (Route 1). You can also travel across the city centre between railway stations using Metrolink services.

Unfortunately we do not have parking facilities on site. There are 3 blue badge parking spaces in front of the museum on Lower Byrom Street, and there are limited council-run pay and display on-street parking spaces on Liverpool Road.
