Science and Industry Museum

Join us for a summer celebrating the Year of Engineering, where families can invent, shape and create their way through the holidays with daily free activities and shows.

Hear from real engineers in our new show, reach for the sky with our tower building challenge, and come out smelling of roses (or strawberries or mint) with our soap making workshop.

There's also a special chance to meet engineers in action at our family weekend on 25–26 August, where families can explore engineering's weirder side, test their own inventive and creative skills, and meet the people who help build our world.

And don’t forget, between  3 and 19 August, Power UP is back! Our annual ode to retro gaming makes a welcome return, bringing consoles new and old for two weeks of seriously pixelated fun. From casual players to hardcore gamers, Power UP 2018 invites everyone to exercise their thumbs and get their game faces back on.
