Goods at Liverpool Road Station Trail

From cotton to coal, sugar to soap, goods of every description were stored at and shipped through Liverpool Road Station. From 1830, for almost 150 years, the place where the Science and Industry Museum now stands was a bustling hub of people, animals and machines that connected Manchester with the world.

Uncover some of the incredible stories behind our historic site with our Goods at Liverpool Road Station Trail. With activities to do and surprising facts to discover, see where your curiosity leads as you explore our cobbled Upper Yard.

Pick up a copy of the trail when you arrive at the museum, download and print one at home or use the mobile version on your phone.
